For the Montessori method, families play an important role in interacting and collaborating with the school to create a home-based environment for children's comprehensive development.
After a course of study in Montessori classes at TFM, many parents shared that families are happy because their children became more independent and self-confident in their daily activities and endeavors. The daily development of children and the satisfaction of parents is always the primary goal in the long-term education of TFM.
Understanding the concerns of many parents, TFM organized the first free Montessori workshop in Vietnam with the theme of "Independence for Children" conducted by Ms. Lhamo Pemba - Training specialist of the International Education- AMI (Association Montessori Internationale).
The golden rule of applying the Montessori method was drawn clear during the workshop:
- Create a suitable environment for children to use home appliances within their reach to be used at home to encourage them to develop independence, not to replace what children can do and only help them when needed.
- Do not impose to the child what adults intended to do. Respect the interests and needs of children.
- Give children the chance to make choices in the daily activities according to their interests and abilities.
- Be patient and give your child enough time to finish its own work.
- Make opportunities for children to identify mistakes and improve themselves
